  • cup 40 g cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp 20 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean, scraped
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter room temperature
  • A pinch of salt
  • For the Icing or Topping optional:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 –3 tbsp milk or water
  • A few drops of vanilla extract
  • Extra powdered sugar for dusting
