  • For the Brownie Base:
  • 1 box brownie mix or homemade batter
  • Eggs oil, and water (as directed on mix package)
  • For the Peppermint Bark Layer:
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 –5 candy canes crushed

Method

  2. Prepare the Brownie Base
  3. Bake the brownies according to the package directions (or your homemade recipe). Let them cool slightly in the pan.
  4. Add the Chocolate Layer
  5. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled brownies.
  6. Add the Peppermint White Chocolate
  7. Melt the white chocolate chips, stir in peppermint extract, and spread over the chocolate layer.
  8. Top with Candy Canes
  9. Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top. Lightly press so they stick.
  10. Chill and Serve
  11. Place the pan in the fridge for 20–30 minutes until set. Slice into squares and enjoy!

For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free brownie mix.
