- 700 g 1.5 lb shredded meat
- – Slow-cooked beef chuck pulled chicken, or shredded pork shoulder
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 –5 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup BBQ sauce preferably smoky or spicy
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
- For the Tacos
- 8 soft flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded purple cabbage or green cabbage
- ½ cup thinly sliced red onions
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- ½ cup fresh cilantro chopped
- Fresh lime wedges for serving
- For the Drizzle Sauce optional but recommended
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- ½ teaspoon hot sauce optional
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
