  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup 115 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup 100 g mixed dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots, or candied orange peel)
  • 1/4 cup 40 g chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Brushing & Topping:
  • 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting
  • Optional: sliced almonds or pearl sugar for decoration
