- Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix well.
- Stir in flour, salt, and nuts (if using). Mix until dough forms.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough, flatten slightly, place one cherry in the center, and wrap dough around it to form a ball.
- Place balls on prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
- Bake 12–15 minutes, until set but not browned.
- While warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar. Let cool, then roll again for a snowy finish.

Make sure cherries are well dried to avoid spreading.
Roll cookies twice in powdered sugar for best snowy appearance.
Store in an airtight container up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
